Secretary Defence Lt Gen (R) Syed Zamir Ul Hassan Shah Thursday appreciated the vital role of Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC) Kamra in defence of the country by producing world class fighter and trainer aircraft.
The PAC was also providing outclass rebuild and overhaul facility for a variety of aircraft, he observed during his visit to the PAC. The PAC is producing JF-17 (Thunder) multi-role aircraft and Super Mushshak (trainer) aircraft. Secretary Defence expressed satisfaction with the progress of the JF-17 programme.
He praised the professional competence and commitment displayed by the PAC personnel in meeting the milestone of JF-17 programme and urged them to continue their best efforts in pursuit of excellence.
The secretary defence was received by Air Marshal Arshad Malik, Chairman PACB Kamra and was given a brief presentation on PAC performance. A question-answer session was also held during the presentation. The secretary defence appreciated and acknowledged that PAC was fully equipped with manufacturing and aviation facilities.
After the meeting the Secretary Defence visited different facilities at the factories. The PAC is an organization which virtually takes care of maintenance of all operational assets of the PAF for effective control and working, subsequently help the country save millions of foreign exchange.—APP
