Secretary asked RTA to ensure fare decrease

Rawalpindi—The Provincial Parliamentary Secretary for Youth Affairs and Tourism Punjab Ch. Sarfraz Afzal Friday directed to Secretary RTA to ensure the immediate fare reduction and give relief to the commuters.
He said that after the price reduction of petroleum products, it was necessary to carry forward its relief among the commuters.
He directed that all sorts of public transport plying from Rawalpindi to Islamabad including Bus, Taxi, Wagon and Suzuki, adding owners and drivers should be made to follow strictly the orders and ensure fare reduction.
Sarfraz said that those people who come from Murree, Kalar Saidan, Texela Kahota, Azad Kashmir and suburban of Islamabad for earning their livelihood should be given special relief in this regard.
He said they were the main component of economic activity in the cities and play vital role in economic growth. He said the government of Muslim League-N has the objective to serve the people in all spheres of life and change their living standard by bring prosperity adding the government had started numerous public welfare projects in this regard.—APP
