SC dismisses bail plea of fake website developers

Islamabad—The Supreme Court on Monday dismissed a bail plea filed by two accused indulged in developing fake websites and social media IDs.
The three-member bench of the Apex court headed by Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa heard bail plea and during course of proceedings remarked that he was not an Information Technology expert but the fraud committed by the accused, seemed a sophisticated shape of crime.
Ayaz Khan, Deputy Director, Cyber Crimes Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) told the court that accused Fazl Mahmood and Liaquat Ali were involved in fraudulently minting millions of rupees from innocent people through fake websites.—APP
