LAHORE : The Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP) on Friday permitted overseas Pakistanis to vote in the by-election.
A three-member full bench headed by Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar conducted hearing over the petitions of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan and others in SC Lahore registry.
During the hearing, CJP directed Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to ensure foolproof arrangements with the assistance of Nadra.
“The election results of e-voting should be kept entirely separate and should be presented in the parliament. In case of dispute, those results will be isolated,” he said.
The Chief Justice also congratulated the overseas Pakistanis following the decision.
