Sattar elected convener of MQM Pakistan

Karachi—The senior most leader of MQM DR Farooq Sattar who had served the organization since its parenthood, was elected convener of MQM Pakistan, the party which has delinked itself from the organization in London, and severed all links with its founder Altaf Hussain.
His election with a highest number of votes of 12.623 in intra-party elections held on Monday, got his the upper most position of chief of the party, while Mohammad Amir Khan (11230 votes) , was elected senior deputy convener and four more—Kunwar Naveed Jamil, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqi, Shahid Pasha, and Senator Nasreen Jalil were elected deputy speaker of the new policy making body of an organization which has wowed to work for Pakistan’s solidarity, integrity and welfare of its people. A total of 49 candidates vied for Rabita Committee membership and 35 of them were chosen by the electorate, sai an announcement of the party
