Sanitation, cleaning drive help eradicate chikengunya

Initiation of campaign for sanitation and removal of heap of garbage and ensuring healthy and clean ambiance will help eradication fatal chikengunya disease, said Vice chairman DMC-Korangi Syed Ahmar Ali in a statement here Thursday.
Reviewing the cleaning project of Shah Faisal, Malir, Model colony, Korangi and Landhi-Zone launched recently, Syed Ahmar Ali directed the officials to lift the garbage from lifting stations and dispose the same off in an appropriate manner.
The spread of contagious diseases including chikengunya were creating health problems for the citizen and it can be eradicated by keeping our surroundings in district Korangi tidy.
The Member Provincial Assembly Muhammad Moin Amir Pirzada on the occasion demanded of the Sindh Government to support financially the district government so that it can successfully complete various development projects including sanitation and cleanliness campaign in order to provide better and healthy environment to the citizen.
The officials of DMC Sanitation Department were directed to show zero negligence in this project, keep a timely checkup of sweeping and garbage lifting from the streets.—APP
