Hafizabad—State Minster for National Health Services Regulation and Coordination, Saira Afzal Tarar has said that government is taking result-oriented, measures to eliminate terrorism, extremism, poverty, unemployment, inflation, illiteracy from the country and provision of different amenities of life to the people at their doorsteps according to manifesto of Pakistan Muslim League-N.
While addressing a gathering in Hafizabad during the visit of her constituency NA-103 she said that Finance Minister had presented farmers and poor friendly budget.
Saira Afzal Tarar warned that negligence in provision of cheap and standard daily used items in Ramazan bazaars would not tolerated at all.
She said that increase in Benazir Income Support Programme from the existing 102 billion rupees to 115 billion rupees and Pakistan Baitul funds were poor friendly steps of the government.
She said that significant reduction in prices of fertilizers, reduction of electricity tariff for agriculture tube wells and withdrawn 7% duty on pesticides and reduction of duty on livestock, dairy and poultry sectors were farmer friendly steps which would be helpful not only to enhance per acre yield, increase in meat and milk production but also to improve socio-economic condition of farmers.
She said that 25 billion rupees have been allocated in the budget for various health programmes including immunization, family planning, Prime Minister’s national health insurance and the proposed Cancer Hospital in Islamabad which is reflecting commitment of the government to eradicate fatal diseases from the country.
She said that result-oriented measures were also purposed in the budget for the youth including laptop scheme and provision of educational scholarships.
She also listened people‘s problems patiently and assured that all electoral promise would be fulfilled during the constitutional term of the government.
Meanwhile, visiting Ramazan Bazar, she said that provision of cheap and quality commodities to the fasting people was to priority of the federal and Punjab governments. She said that
Government was providing billion of rupees subsidy for ensuring provision of cheap and quality flour, sugar, fruits and vegetables in the Ramazan bazaars in abounded.
While talking to minster, male and female consumers expressed their satisfaction over arrangements and provision of cheap commodities in the Ramazan bazaar and they said that provision of Five billion of rupees subsidy is people friendly steps of the Chief Minister of the Punjab.
Giving briefing to the Minster, DCO said that four Ramazan bazaar have been established in Hafizabad, Sukheki, Pindi Bhattian and Jalalpur Bhattian. Sugar is available at the rate of 55 per kg while it was being sold in open market at the rate of Rs.65, flour 10 kg bag is being given at rate of Rs.290 in the Ramazan bazaars instead of Rs.340. DCO told that 20 security cameras have been installed in the Ramazan bazaars.
