RSWMC gets 6 solid waste vehicles

Wah Cant—Rawalpindi Solid Waste Management Company have got six solid waste management vehicles including three mini-dumpers, two garbage compactors and one suction truck included in the fleet to improve the solid waste management system of Taxila city.
The vehicle induction ceremony was held here at Tehsil court complex which was attended by Sheikh Mohammad Aslam special assistant to Federal Minister for interior Ch. Nisar Ali Khan, Managing Director Solid Waste Management Irfan Qureshi, President PML-N district Rawalpindi Sardar Mumtaz Khan, PML-N leader Sheikh Zeeshan Saeed and Assistant Commissioner Shahid Imran Marth.
Speaking on this occasion, PML-N leader Sheikh Zeeshan Saeed has said that from health sector to civic sector, Federal Minister for interior Ch. Nisar Ali Khan providing different facilities to the masses of the area to improve their living standards.
He said that with completion of three mega projects worth billion of rupees including Wah General hospital, girls school and boys school would play pivotal role betterment of masses. Managing Director Solid Waste Management Irfan Qureshi said that the company daily collects 40 tons of garbage from the city.
He said that mini dumpers would provide services in narrow streets while sucking machines would collect garbage from gutters and covered drains. As many as 125 garbage containers would also placed in different nook and cranny of the city so that waste deposal system would be improved, he added. He said that presently 130 sanitary workers with 11 vehicles are operating services and with induction of 6 more vehicles, would improve their services.—APP
