Islamabad—Central Development Working Party (CDWP) has approved the development projects worth Rs 47.882 billion.
According to ministry officials, these projects are including two projects of worth Rs. 37 billion, which were referred to ECNEC. The maximum numbers of projects were approved in higher education sector.
CDWP meeting chaired by Federal Minister Planning Development and Reform, Ahsan Iqbal was attended by senior federal and provincial officials concerned .The projects approved and recommended to ECNEC related to water resource/environment, transport & communication, higher education commission, agriculture & food, governance and mass media .
In Water resource and Environment sector, CDWP approved and recommended to ECNEC Balochistan Integrated water Resources Management and Development Project (BIWRMDP) at the cost of Rs 27,113 billion and Sindh Resilience Project (Irrigation Component) for Strengthening Flood Embankments & Constructing Small Dams including System for Improving Resilience at a cost of Rs9.983 billion. It approved Construction of Siran Right Bank Canal District Mansehra with cost of Rs 2,850.522.
CDWP approved first phase of Channelization of Deg Nullah at Rs.1 billion and ,Restoration of J-Head Spur RD.167+000 of Link No.1,Restoration of J-Head Spur RD.165+000 of Link No.1 with costing of 144.95 million and 247 million respectively .
