Rs130m spent over expired schemes

Badin—An amount of Rs 130 million has been spent over old and expired schemes and awarded the schemes to their own relatives as contractors by getting hefty amount as sweet gift through announcement of fake tenders. Administrator of Municipal Committee, Chief Municipal Officer and Municipal Engineer and others officers of Municipal Committee Badin have debited 130 million rupees over unauthorized and expired schemes for their personal interest. It was stated by newly elected members of Badin Municipal Committee Badin here Thursday.
Addressing a press conference at Badin Press Club, Mr. Shahid Khan Afridi, Riaz Ahmed Taherani, Tariq Aziz Memon, Ghulam Hussain Soomro, Gulzar Ahmed Memon, Mohammad Essa Mallah, Mohammad Rahim Khatti and others told the media-men that after taken oath ceremony as elected members of Municipal Committee, ac-cording to local Governance Ordinance now Municipal Committee Officers has not right and legal power to utilize the heavily budget over expired and anonymous schemes. They alleged the Sindh Government as mother of all types of corruption and protectors of the corrupt elements. The followers of corrupt rulers are on the same track as their rulers and committing the corruption in various departments of Sindh province and devastated the institutes.
They expressed their anguish over the ill tricks of getting hefty amount by corruption and sternly condemned such tricks being elected preventatives of people of Badin. They said that on the day of opening of the hand made and forged tenders we would register stern protest and siege the Municipal Committee Badin and DC office and will not allow even ever to pass such false tenders. They expressed the present administrator of Municipal Community Badin is an adept in corruption throughout the province.
