Revival of sports in Pakistan is not far: Qamar

Islamabad—Squash Legend Qamar Zaman believes the arrival of foreign players here to participate in the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) International Squash Championship is a sign that the revival of sports in Pakistan is not far.
Talking to APP, Qamar said besides Islamabad tournaments should also be organized in other parts of the country like Lahore, Peshawar and Karachi.
“The credit for the revival of international squash tournaments in Pakistan goes to Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman, President, Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF),” he said.
He said as many as 11 international players are participating in the International Squash Championship. We hope that next year Pakistan will host a $50,000 Professional Squash Association (PSA) event.—APP
