Restaurants, bakeries fined for selling unhygienic food

Attock—Assistant Commissioner (AC) Attock Fatima Bashir Wednesday raided different restaurants and bakeries and imposed Rs 260,000 fine for selling unhygienic food items.
Talking to media, she said that no restaurant or bakery would be allowed to sell unhygienic edibles. She said that those running different hotels and sweet shops and bakeries must follow rules and must not put the life of public at stake for the sake of profit.
She said the places she visited were found unhygienic and unhygienic meat and other edibles were found there. She said, in Shinwari Hotel ill smelling meat was found stored in a refrigerator and the area where cold drinks were stored was extremely dirty and cockroaches and other insects were found roaming there.—APP
