Residents annoyed at lack of facilities in housing societies

The residents of the private cooperative housing societies situated in the surroundings of Islamabad Expressway are annoyed at proper lack of facilities. People are facing critical issues like shortage of water, damaged roads, badly maintained parks, heaps of garbage and weak security system.
These societies are supervised by poor management, which does not pay attention to the problems being faced by the residents. The management charges full monthly dues from inhabitants but does not care about civic issues which was disappointing for citizens.
Hassan Sahi, a resident of Soan Gardens said, “We heard that this society has all facilities but when we started living here, the administration of the society neglected our issues.”
The condition of the streets and roads of the society was very poor, especially in rainy weather it becomes more difficult, he added. He said that shortage of water in the society has become a permanent problem and the residents were forced to hired private water tankers which were charging a hefty amount from them.—APP
