Renowned writer Mukhtar Masood dies at 88

Renowned intellectual, author, writer, former ambassador and former secretary general of RCD Mukhtar Masood has passed away. Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, President Mamnoon Hussain, Ameer Jamat-e-Islami Pakistan Senator Sirajul Haq and Advisor to Prime Minister Irfan Siddiqui have expressed deep grief over the demise of Mukhtar Masood
Mukhtar Masood died in Lahore on Saturday. He was an author of ‘Awaz Dost’, ‘Safar Naseeb’, ‘Lo Iyam’ and several other books while one book of the deceased was yet to be complete but the distinguished writer died.
The literary, diplomatic and political circles of the country expressed deep grief over the demise of Mukhtar Masood and prayed to Almighty Allah for the eternal peace of the soul of the deceased and patience for the family of the deceased.
Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif expressed deep grief over the demise of Mukhtar Masood and said that the literary services of late Mukhtar Masood would be remembered for long.
Prime Minister said Mukhtar Masood was distinguished prose writer, ambassador and author.—SABAH
