Religious parties to meet on March 15: Fazl

Islamabad—Leader of Jamiat Ulema Islam-F Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that a meeting of religious parties will be held at Mansoora in Lahore on March 15 where all important matters will be discussed.
He was talking to media persons at his residence here after concluding a session of religious parties on Saturday.
Describing the execution of Mumtaz Hussain Qadri as judicial murder, he said that Mumtaz Qadri’s hanging, Blasphemy Law and the Women Protection Bill passed by the Punjab Assembly will be discussed in the meeting with religious parties at Mansoora in Lahore on March 15.
Fazl said that the religious parties would come on the roads to protest against the Blasphemy Law and the family system.
He said that it seems that by executing Mumtaz Qadri ground was being prepared to repeal the Blasphemy Law. He said several articles of the Women Protection Bill are repugnant to the Islamic teachings and Constitution of Pakistan.
Fazl also said efforts were being made by certain quarters to make Pakistan a secular state. Ameer of Jamat-e-Islami Senator Siraj-ul-Haq, JUP leader Maulana Anas Noorani and other leaders of the religious parties were also present on the occasion.—INP
