Lahore—Director General Wildlife and Parks Khalid Ayaz Khan said that initial process for the registration of hunters in Punjab and computerizing their record has been started.
He said that after completely computerizing the record registered hunters will be informed via SMS about the open hunting areas as well as restricted hunting areas and other facilities will be provided in this regard.
He said this Tuesday while presiding over a special meeting in the office regarding stoppage of illegal hunting. Along with Deputy Director Head Quarter Muhammad Naeem Bhatti other field officers were present on the occasion.
Khalid Ayaz Khan stressed upon the officers under vision of Chief Minster Punjab, illegal hunting will be discouraged at all level and instructions issued from the department regarding implementation of Wildlife Act.
Moreover, departmental officers have collected fine from the acused persons worth rupees 1 crore 6 lakh and 7 thousand for the violation of Wildlife Act.
