Peshawar—The Regional Police Officers conference Wednesday was held in the Police School of Public Disorder and Riot Management, Mardan under the chairmanship of Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Nasir Khan Durrani. Chief Capital City Police Peshawar, all Regional Police Officers and Principal Staff Officers participated in the conference. The participants were briefed by the Director of the School Colnol (R) Akhtar Gul about training facilities, modules, standard, tactical technique and various other courses offered by the school. It was followed by a detail briefing on law and order, security and crime situation in the province. All Regional Police Officers gave a detailed presentation about the security steps being adopted in their respective region with the help of charts and maps. The IGP showed his satisfaction on the over all crimes and law and order situation and directed the RPOs to conduct security audit of all sensitive and vulnerable places to identify the gaps.
In this connection the services of retired SSG officers could be enlisted. Later on the IGP visited the newly constructed Dispute Resolution Council (DRC) office in Mardan and met with its members. The IGP was given short presentation on the over all performance of the DRC which was found to be satisfactory. The IGP also inaugurated the new Police Assistance Line (PAL) office in Mardan to provide police services to a common man hassle free.
