Record of all police stations to be computerized by May 15

Lahore—Inspector General of Police Punjab Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera has said that record of all police stations in the province is being computerized and it would be completed till May 15.
During his visit to Sargodha on Saturday, he said that graduate IT expert are being deputed in all police stations. He said that more police training schools will be set up to overcome the shortage of force in different districts. Due to shortage of training centres, 16,500 personnel are awaiting training. They will be equipped with modern training soon to meet the requirement of trained force in the province.
The IGP said that through the use of information technology the police department is being interlinked, which will be helpful in controlling crimes, exchanging data of criminals and checking the theft of vehicles and nabbing professional criminals. RPO Sargodha Zulfiqar Hameed was also present on the occasion.—APP
