RDA seals two plazas being constructed illegally

Rawalpindi—The Enforcement Section of Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) on Wednesday conducted operation against illegal constructions on Defence Road Morgah area and sealed two plazas. According to RDA spokesman, the Building Control Section team with the assistance of police under the supervision of Enforcement Department Incharge Nadeem Jamal conducted operation on the directives of Commissioner Rawalpindi Division/Director General (DG) RDA Azmat Mahmud and took action against two plazas being constructed illegally in residential area of Morgah.
The owners of the plazas, Raja Arshad and Abdul Khaliq were also issued notices.
The spokesman warned the citizens not to violate the building rules otherwise strict action in accordance with the law would be taken against the violators.
RDA’s Building Control Department is conducting operations regularly against illegal and unauthorized commercial and residential constructions and encroachments in the city, he added.—APP
