RCB disconnects illegal water connections

Rawalpindi—The Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) launched a crackdown against illegal water connections and disconnected 134 connections. According to RCB spokesman, water recovery cell of RCB also challaned the consumers using illegal means of getting water and causing inconvenience to neighbors.
He expressed the confidence that the operation would help ensure smooth supply of water in all parts of the cantonment areas and said it would continue till achieving the goal.
He was of the view that the illegal connections were one of the main causes of low pressure and water shortage. RCB, he said, would launch a public awareness campaign for economical and hygienic use of water, plugging of leakages, controlling pilferage, improving water’s distribution and management system.—APP
