RCB collects 30 samples from food outlets

Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) has collected 30 samples from restaurants and Fast Food outlets which have been sent to lab for test.
According to RCB spokesman, Food department of the board was trying to ensure supply of healthy and quality food items to the people.
Raids are being conducted to check quality of edibles and action in accordance with the law being taken against restaurants and Fast Food outlets found indulge in supply of substandard and low quality food items to the customers. He informed that the raids were carried out in Peshawar Road and Saddar areas and 30 samples were collected.
Incharge Food Department Chief Inspector Waris Bhatti talking to APP informed that three milk supply vehicles were stopped at Peshawar Road and quality of milk was checked.
Rs 90,000 fine was imposed on poor quality of milk.—APP
