Rashid urges Kashmiri to empower PML-N in AJK

Kahuta, Ajk—Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Pervaiz Rashid has urged the Kashmiri people to empower the PML-N to fight their case at international fora by voting in favor of the party in upcoming elections.
He was addressing the PML-N workers’ convention at Kahuta in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
The Information Minister said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has forcefully raised the Kashmir dispute at the United Nations General Assembly and he is committed to move forward to serve the Kashmiri people. He reminded that it was in the previous era of PML (N) that the then Indian Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee had accepted the Kashmir as a dispute and agreed to resolve it. He, however regretted that Parvez Musharraf dealt a serious blow to the independence movement of Kashmiri people with his policies. Pervaiz Rashid said Kashmiri and Pakistani people have great love and affection for each other as their pains and happiness are interlinked. The Kashmiri people on the other side of line of control are rendering blood to demonstrate their affinity with Pakistan.
He said the Kashmiri people have suffered a lot but the PML-N has again come forward to address their grievances. He said mega development projects will be started in the territory. Expressway will be constructed to link Kashmir with the rest of the country.—SABAH
