Rasheed shifted to Central Jail

Srinagar—In occupied Kashmir, the authorities have shifted the illegally detained APHC leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Democratic League, Hakeem Abdul Rasheed, from Lal Bazaar police station to Central Jail, Srinagar.
The party spokesman, Sheikh Abdul Mateen, in a statement issued in Srinagar strongly denounced the continued illegal detention of Hakeem Abdur Rasheed. He also expressed deep concern over the deteriorating health of the party Chairman due to non-provision of medical care in detention.
He appealed to the international human rights organizations to take serious notice of Indian atrocities on the people of occupied Kashmir.
He also termed the 27th October as the darkest day in the history of Kashmir. He said India without any constitutional and moral justification forcibly took control of Jammu and Kashmir on this day in 1947 and since then its army was involved in human rights violations and excesses on innocent and unarmed Kashmiri people.—KMS
