Lahore—Governor Punjab Malik Rafique Rajwana on Monday said education is indeed the key to prosperity and success in life.
Nations who promoted education are now leading the world.
“If we want to bring Pakistan into the folder of successful nation, we should develop the habits of book reading besides promoting science and technology,” he expressed these views while talking to Resident Editor Pakistan Observer Lahore Dr Waqar Chaudhry.
Later Dr Waqar Chaudhry presented to the Governor of Punjab Malik Rafique Rajwana his book titled “Muntakhab-e-Shorish Kashmiri’’.
Governor Punjab urged to conduct research on different aspects of the lives of those seasonal journalists who upheld values and ethics of journalism besides promoting responsible journalism in Pakistan.
Appreciating the services rendered by Agha Shorish Kashmiri in the field of journalism, Rafique Rajwana said his life long struggle for the betterment of the society, his journalistic career, poetry and prose all are guiding lights for our young generation.
“Agha Shorish Kashmiri was a great orator and his writing style was excellent”.
He urged the journalists to come forward to render services for the attainment of national objectives.
He said journalism and democracy are increasingly interdependent and no nation can get prosperity without these two pillars of the society.
