Rajouri shuts as solidarity with Valley brethren

Srinagar—In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown is being observed in Rajouri district, Thursday to express their solidarity with their brethren in the Valley over the killings of civilians during the ongoing Kashmir Intifada.
Call for the strike was given by various Muslim organizations and religious heads of the Muslim community.
The organizations, which gave the call for the shutdown included the Muslim Welfare Front, Tehreek-e-Ghulamaian Mustaffa (TFM) and Ulemas, led by Moulvi Ghulam Rassol.
Meanwhile, residents of Thanamandi staged an anti-India protest demonstration against the killings.
Protesters demanded immediate end to use of force against the civilians, including use of bullets and pellet guns.—KMS
