Rain, thundershower with gusty winds likely at scattered places

Rain-thundershower with gusty winds is expected at number of places in Punjab, Khaber Pakhtunkhwa, FATA, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan during next 24 hours while very hot and humid weather to grip other parts of the country.
Rainfall is likely in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Hazara divisions, Islamabad and Kashmir, while at scattered places in Malakand, Peshawar, Mardan, Kohat, Bannu, D.I.Khan, Sargodha, Fais-alabad, Sahiwal divisions, FATA and at isolated places in Gilgit-Baltistan during this time span. Heavy falls are also expected at isolated places in Malakand, Hazara, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore divisions and Kashmir.
Seasonal Low lies over North Balochistan with its trough extending southeastward.
Monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal are penetrating upper parts of the country. A westerly wave is also expected to prevail over the upper parts of the country tonight, an offi-cial of Met office told APP.
During last 24 hours, weather remained very hot and humid in most parts of the country.
However rain-thundershower with gusty winds occurred at isolated places in Malakand, Hazara, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore divisions and Kashmir.—APP
