Mainly dry weather likely
Islamabad—Temperature is on the rise in different cities of the Pakistan, with Okara topping the heat with 40 degrees Celsius while Lahore stands at 34øC on Monday. According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), dry and hot weather will maintain its course in different cities in the coming days.
Temperature is likely to hit 47øC in Sindh’s Dadu and Nawabshah. However, weather in Karachi will remain dry and hot in coming 24 hours. Karachi temperature will remain between 36øC to 38øC according to the department concerned. Sukkur, Jacobabad and Larkana will have maximum temperature of 44øC-45øC today. Hyderabad’s mercury will rise up to 44øC while that in Badin and Mirpur Khas to 43øC.
Meanwhile, the Peshawar Met Office on Monday forecast partly cloudy weather for most parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, however light rain-thunderstorm with strong gusty winds are expected in isolated places for next 24 to 48 hours.
The ligh-rain with strong gusty winds to be occurred in D I Khan, Tank, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Kohat, Hangu, Karak, Peshawar, Charsadda, and South Waziristan Agencies in FATA.—APP
