Rain likely in most parts of country

Islamabad—Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Monday indicated chances of rain-thundershower for isolated places in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Mirpurkhas division, Islamabad, FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir. According to the synoptic situation, heat low was lying over north Balochistan and its adjoining area with its trough extending eastwards.
Weak to moderate monsoon currents were penetrating upper parts of the country. A shallow westerly trough was located over Kashmir and its adjoining areas. Meanwhile, the Lahore Met Office reported that rain-thundershower with isolated heavy falls is expected at scattered places in upper Punjab including the city during next 24 hours.

A shallow westerly wave is located over Kashmir and its adjoining areas.Under the influence of these meteorological conditions, rain with isolated heavy falls is expected in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha and Faisalabad divisions while at isolated places in Bahawalpur division during next 24 hours. In the provincial capital maximum temperature was recorded 34 degree celsius with humidity 67 percent on Monday. —APP
