Rain likely in different parts of country

Islamabad—Mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country during the next 12 hours. However, isolated rain dust-thunderstorms is expected in Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Mardan divisions, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore Divisions, Islamabad, upper FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.
Temperature of some major cities recorded Saturday morning. Islamabad twenty five degree centigrade, Lahore twenty six, Karachi twenty nine, Peshawar twenty four, Quetta seventeen, Gilgit twelve, Murree fifteen and Muzaffarabad eighteen degree centigrade, Radio Pakistan quoted.
According to the synoptic situation, a westerly wave is still affecting upper parts of the country and likely to persist during next 2 to 3 days.
The local Met office has forecast dry weather for the city and its suburbs during the next 24 hours. On Saturday, the maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded as 40.3 degrees centigrade and 26.8 degrees centigrade, respectively. Humidity was recorded 46 per cent at 8 am and 30 per cent at 5pm.—APP
