Rain at isolated places likely

Islamabad—Rain with thunderstorm is expected at isolated places including Rawalpindi during last 24 hours. According to met office, rain with thunderstorm is expected at isolated places including Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat, Mardan, Kalat, Bannu, D.I.Khan, Quetta, Zhob, Sibbi , Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Lahore, Gujranwala, D.G.Khan divisions and FATA. Gusty winds are expected in Sindh and Balochistan during the period.
However, the met office predicted mainly hot and dry weather in most parts of the country during the last 24 hours. A westerly wave is likely to enter upper parts of the country on Saturday (tomorrow) and likely to persist for two to three days.
Met office said that due to scattered rain-thunderstorm, there is risk of more landslides in Malakand, Hazara divisions, Gilgit- Baltistan and Kashmir during Sunday to Wednesday. Meanwhile, the Lahoe Met office reported a shower spell associated with gusty winds is expected in most parts of Punjab including the city from Sunday.
According to Met office, a fresh westerly wave is likely to enter Pakistan by Saturday evening. Under the influence of this weather system rain-thunderstorm, gusty winds were expected in upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Faisalabad and Sargodha divisions) Sunday to Monday.
Rain-dust-thunderstorm is also expected at isolated places in Sibbi, Bahawalpur, D.G.Khan, Multan, Lahore and Sahiwal divisions.—APP
