The construction of Railway overhead bridge is in full swing after a delay of six years. The construction work resumed when PPP MNA Faryal Talpur took notice of the issue.
Deputy Commissioner Nouman Sadique told media that MNA Faryal Talpur has instructed early completion of two mega city projects, which include a thirty bed city hospital and Railway Overhead Bridge near old vegetable market connecting two parts of the city divided by main railway track.
DC said that the construction of bridge on both sides of railway track is complete while portion of bridge being complete on lines is in full swing and heavy machinery is working round the clock. He said that compensation issues with affected shopkeepers were settled.
City residents have expressed their pleasure over the finalization of completion of bridge saying that universities, colleges, schools, hospital, government offices, IG Secretariat, judicial complex and other offices would be in easy reach for residents of old city area as they were facing great problems to cross lines when railway crossing gates used to remain closed for hours.
