Rail services halted in Kashmir for security reasons

Train service from Srinagar to Banihal in Jammu region remained suspended for the second consecutive day Friday for security reasons following strike called by separatists in the Kashmir valley against the killing of two civilians in Pulwama, where two Lashker-e-Toiba (LeT) militants were killed in an encounter with forces on Thursday.
A railway official told Rising Kashmir: “We have suspended all trains on Srinagar-Baramulla tracks today.”
He said all trains running on Badgam-Srinagar-Pulwama, Anantnag and Qazigund to Banihal in Jammu region track remained suspended for the second day on Friday for security reasons.—RK
