Qaim increases SLA grant by 50pc

Hyderabad—Sindh Government has increased the annual financial grant allocated to the Sindhi Langauge Authority (SLA) by 50 percent.
The SLA’s Chairman Sarfaraz Rajar informed here Thursday in a press statement that the Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah had approved an increase of Rs 25 million to the annual grant from fiscal 2016-17.
After the addition the annual grant would in-crease to Rs 75 million. “In view of the SLA’s performance, the Chief Minister approved the increase. The schemes like Sindhi Composing, Sindh Dictionary Board and others will take advantage of this increment,” he said.—APP
