Lahore—Various religious and political parties have called upon the Government of Pakistan to fully cooperate with the government of Saudi Arabia for the protection of Haramain Al-Sharifain.
Addressing a press conference organised by the Pakistan Ulema Council at the Lahore Press Club Monday, leaders and representatives of more than 15 religious and political parties also announced to observe Yaum-e-Tahaffuz-e-Haramain Al-Sharifain across the country on July 15.
They also assured the government and the people of Saudi Arabia of all possible cooperation on behalf of the people of Pakistan.
The religious and political leaders paid rich tributes to Saudi security officials who were martyred de-fending the sanctity of Masjid-e-Nabawi and termed them Mohsin-e-Ummat. They also announced to launch a campaign to raise awareness of the conspiracies against Haramain Al-Sharifain.
A meeting of various political and religious parties has also been convened in Islamabad on July 14.
Pakistan Ulema Council Chairman Hafiz Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi, Secretary General Sahibzada Zahid Mehmood Qasmi, Maulana Ghulamullah Khan of Jamiat Ahle Adith, Mulana Sardar Mu-hammad Khan Laghari, Peer Mehfooz Mashhadi, Maulana Ghulam Akbar Saqi, Maulana Muhammad Ayub Safdar, Maulana Abdul Hameed Wattoo and others addressed the press conference.
They strongly condemned the recent attacks in Madina Munawwara and other Saudi cities and said that groups like IS (Daesh) were behind the violence in Muslim countries. They also supported the anti-terrorism alliance of Muslim countries formed by Saudi Arabia.
