PUC denounces Azan-banning in Palestine mosques, missile attacks on Medina, Makkah

Rawalpindi—Clerics from different religious sects addressing at ‘Muslims Awareness Campaign Convention’ that held here on Sunday, at Jamia Masjid Marhaba, Kuri Road, Rawalpindi stressed for unity of Ummah stating that unity of Muslims is panacea for prevailing challenges in Muslim world. The clerics and representatives of different religious sects addressing the convention also urged on religious leadership of Muslim world to educate Muslim youths on false propaganda of extremist organizations, which are luring Muslim youths on account of Islam.
The participants of the convention also urged on leadership of Muslim countries to contain elements responsible for making missile attack in Makkah and carrying move to ban ‘Azan’ prayer-call in mosques of Palestine.
The convention held here on Sunday at Jamia Masjid Marhaba, Kuri Road, Rawalpindi in the chair of Chairman Pakistan Ulema Council Hafiz Muhmmad Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi. The convention was a sequel of ‘Muslims Awareness Campaign’ that is being arranged on part of Pakistan Ulema Council to create awareness among people of Pakistan on confronting challenges of Muslim world and to educate people against increasing menace of extremism and terrorism. Addressing the convention, Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi urged on students studying in seminaries to educate themselves with conventional studies along with Islamic studies. He said extremism and terrorism owns no association with Islam adding that any extremist or terrorist could never found the opportunity to become head of state in Pakistan contrary to people of India and U.S who have elected extremist individuals as their state heads.
Banning prayer-call (Azan) in Palestine and elements making missile attacks in Medina and Makkah should be taken to task, said Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi adding that Muslim world will not tolerate these bids.
