Lahore—Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran chaired a high level meeting to discuss Kashmir issue and present scenario at Al Raazi Hall here on Saturday.
Heads of all teaching and non-teaching departments participated in the meeting. The meeting unanimously passed a resolution to express solidarity with the Kashmiris and strongly condemned Indian atrocities in Held Kashmir. The meeting was told that the struggle of Kashmiris in Held Kashmir to join Pakistan was their own struggle. The meeting was told that India was fanning terrorism and Indian forces were seriously violating human rights in Held Kashmir. The meeting was briefed that from January 1989 to October 2015, Indian forces have martyred 94,273 Kashmiris and arrested 131,212 civilians. As many as 10,159 rape cases were reported in Held Kashmir in which women were sexually assaulted and gang raped. In some cases, the bodies of women were cut into pieces and dissolved in acid. The meeting demanded that the resolutions of the United Nation must be implemented in Held Kashmir. The meeting said that Modi was involved in killing innocent Muslims and he was denied US visa because the United States had proof of Modi’s involvement in the killings. The meeting also vowed to contact the officials of the United Nations in this regard. The meeting also said that the nation stood with the government and Pakistan Army and the nation is confident that Pakistan Army is capable of coping with any situation.
