A Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader was gunned down over “personal enmity” in Lakki Marwat district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Friday night.
Malik Hukmat Khan Wazir, a close aide of KP Chief Minister’s Adviser Muhammad Wazir, was shot dead in the jurisdiction of the Lakki Marwat police station.
Hukmat was targeted while he was returning home after attending a tableeghi congregation. According to police, he had a land dispute with his relative that had intensified during the last two days. The police have registered a case and are probing into the murder. Just last month ago, a PTI leader was shot dead over an old enmity in Kalas locality in Haripur. Tehsil council member Malik Haq Nawaz was buying groceries from a roadside stall when a car stopped and four men alighted, lined up, and opened fire with automatic weapons.
