Providing relief to patients top priority: Pechuho

Sindh Minister for Health and Population Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho has asked Health and Works and Services Departments to complete ongoing development schemes in stipulated period to provide relief to the patients saying patients are our top priority.
She stated this while addressing a joint meeting of Health and Works and Services Departments in her office here on Monday. Additional Chief Secretary Health Dr. Muhammad Usman Chachar, Secretary Works and Services Abdul Rahim Shaikh and other officers also attended the meeting.
Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho expressed her resentment over sub- standard development work carried out at Civil Hospital Sukkur and asked to improve it, adding that she said that the hospital needed major repair work.
The Health Minister also directed to complete work at Ghulam Muhammad Mehar Medical College Sukkur and she warned that she would not tolerate any lethargic attitude in this regard.
During the meeting ongoing development schemes such as establishment of BIUT at Shaheed Benazirabad, construction of new OPD block for Neurosurgery etc and 50 bedded surgical and medical ICU at Peoples Medical Colleges Hospital Benazirabad, establishment of Paeds Unit at NICVD, establishment of Anti Snake Venom and Anti Rabies Serology Lab in Sindh, establishment of Medical Colleges at Hyderabad, Khairpur Mirpurkhas and construction of 300 bedded maternal and child health institute at Shaheed Benazirabad Nawabshah were discussed and reviewed.
Dr. Azra Pechuho also asked to speed up work on these schemes to facilitate the people of Sindh.—INP
