Prof. Ata to inaugurate international science conference

Prof. Atta-ur-Rahman, former Federal Minister of Science & Technology, who had also served as Chairman of Higher Education Commission (HEC) will inaugurate the international bio-science conference to be held at the University of the Punjab, Lahore, on October 23.
An announcement here on Saturday said that the Institute of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, University of the Punjab, is organizing the conference on ‘Trends and Prospects in Molecular Biosciences’ to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the institute.
Prof. Atta-ur-Rahman, the patron-in-chief of ICCBS, will also deliver a special lecture in the inaugural ceremony to be held in Pervaiz Hassan Environmental Law Centre, University of the Punjab, Quaid-e-Azam Campus on Monday.
Prof. Atta-ur-Rahman is the author of 1,082 international publications including 225 books largely published in USA and Europe.
He is the most decorated scientist of Pakistan having won four civil awards from successive governments, including the highest national award ‘Nishan-i-Imtiaz’. —APP
