Pro-India Kashmiri leaders quit on killings spree

Kulgam, Ihk—In occupied Kashmir, more resignations of politicians from pro-India political parties have started coming in after the Hurriyet leadership’s call for social boycott of these leaders.
Ghulam Hassan Zargar, a BJP leader who had unsuccessfully contested elections of the so-called assembly in 2014 resigned at a pro-freedom rally in Bugam area of Kulgam district on Tuesday.
Earlier, a national conference leader, Iftikhar Misgar, who had contested two elections, resigned in a similar fashion in Islamabad district.
He had also shouted pro-freedom and anti-India slogans.
Reports said that an Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) leader from Islamabad has also resigned from the party and joined the movement.—KMS
