President confers military, civil awards

Islamabad—President Mamnoon Hussain has conferred non-operational military awards upon 52 officers of Pakistan Air Force on the occasion of Independence Day.
The awards include two Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military), 18 Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military), 15 Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (Military), four Tamgha-i-Basalat and 13 Imtiazi Asnaad.
The President has also granted military awards to the officers and men of Pakistan Army, Navy and Air Force in recognition to their gallantry services, in connection with Independence Day’ celebrations.
According to an ISPR press release on Saturday, Major Ali Jawad Khan (Shaheed) has been awarded with Tamgha-i-Jur’at while four soldiers and officers have been granted Sitara-e-Bisalat, 76 Tamgha-i-Basalat, 48 Imtiazi Asnad, 231 COAS Commendation Cards, 19 Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military), 85 Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Military and 112 Tamgha-e-Imtiaz (Military).
The President has alsoannounced to confer the ‘Pakistan Civil Awards’ on citizen of the country as well as foreign nationals for showing excellence and courage in their respective fields. The investiture ceremony of these awards will take place on Pakistan Day, 23rd March, 2017.
