With only one day left in Eid Milad-un-Nabi, the preparations to celebrate the Birthday of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) reached at its climax in the provincial capital.
As per usual, the government and religious organisations have planned a number of activities including hodling seminars, conferences, Milad and other programmes to mark the annual event.
Different Naat committees are also being organized to celebrate the 12 Rabiul Awal. The youngsters are enthusiastically decorating their homes and streets with banners and flags bearing the writings about celebration of the birthday of the last Prophet, Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH).
Special programmes are being prepared for paying tributes and highlighting different aspects of the life of Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Milad committees were seen busy collecting donations to celebrate the event in a befitting manner.
“I have decorated my home with colourful lightings and street with buntings to mark the birthday of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) with great reverence”, a young boy Salman Sheikh said.
He said, “I along with my other friends have also collected funds (chanda) from different neighbours to organise a grand Naat Khawani programme and Milad to mark the occasion”.
All the shopping centres are also being decorated tastefully by the citizens with colourful lights on the occasion.
