The Pre-admission Test for admission to US-Pakistan Center for Advanced Studies in Water (USPCAS-W) at Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET) was held Sunday in Jamshoro district. The USPACAS-W offered admission for Master of Sciences (MS) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program in the fall session 2018.According to USPCAS-W’s spokesman Sahib Khan, the center was inducting its fifth batch of students through the test.
He told that the tests were held at five different cities throughout Pakistan simultaneously. As many as 494 candidates appeared in the test out of 581 who had filled the admission form .The spokesman informed that the center was offering four different MS and PhD degree programs. Those include Hydraulics, Irrigation and Drainage (HID), Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM), Environmental Engineering (Env. Eng) and MS program in Water, Sanitation and Health (WaSH).
The MUET’s Vice Chancellor Dr Mohammad Aslam Uqaili, MUET Pro Vice Chancellor Dr Tauha Hussain Ali, USPCAS-W Project Director Dr. Bakhshal Khan Lashari, Dean Architecture and Civil Engineering Dr. Khan Muhammad Brohi, Dean Faculty of Engineering Dr. Muhammad Moazam Baloch and Deputy Director USPCAS-W Dr. Rasool Bux Mahar visited the entry test centers.—APP
