Punjab Revenue Authority’s has launched the first batch of a 4 week long Senior Internship Program and Second batch of a 2 week long Junior Internship Program under its 4th internship program. After record number of over 800 applications received for this year’s Program from institutes like LUMS, FAST, Government College University, The University of Punjab, Beaconhouse, LGS and DPS, Chairman PRA Dr. Raheal Ahmed decided to initiate two different batches of 25 students each for both Senior and Junior Internship Program’s. According to Chairman PRA the purpose of initiating such programs is to provide the young generation an opportunity to work in a professional environment and to help create tax awareness among their family members and the general public at large.
During their training at PRA the interns are not only be given a tour of the department but also shall be given a detailed presentations on the working of the department. They shall also be briefed on PRA’s popular system of Restaurant Invoice Monitoring System known as RIMS while a detailed working session on E-Courts and appellate tribunals shall also be given. During the program the interns are also to be given an opportunity to render valuable social service contribution in terms of tax awareness while representing PRA as tax ambassadors on visits to various Malls and Restaurants where as senior interns shall be given an educational tour to Civil Secretariat and Pakistan Administrative Service Campus. As part of the training session the senior interns shall also be given various case study topics to work upon with presentations to be given on the conclusion of the program.
