The Pakistan Railways have achieved the target of selling e-tickets worth one hundred million rupees.
According to the spokesman of Pakistan Railway, eight and a half thousand e-tickets were sold through different means including credit cards and mobile accounts.
At present Pakistan railways is rendering the service of e-ticketing in the twenty four trains in fifty one cities.
Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique extending congratulations to the Pakistan railways employees described this achievement as a beginning of a new era of modernization and development. In a message, he advised the IT wing of the Pakistan Railways to start the facility of e-ticketing in the Jaffer express, Bolan Mail and Akbar Express to facilitate the people of Balochistan.—APP
