Former Opposition Leader in National Assembly, Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah has said that there is no threat to democracy and the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) will not disappoint the nation under any circumstances.
Addressing to a public gathering on Friday, he claimed that PPP will emerge as a victorious party from across the country in the upcoming election.Shah claimed that power and energy challenges are among the big challenges that continue to haunt and after coming into power the PPP will take all possible measures to address them.
Syed Nasir Shah, Syed Farukh Shah, Noma Shaikh and others also addressed to the gathering on the occasion. He urged the people to take a decision on their own to bring about change in the country, adding otherwise, they will continue to be the victims of status quo. He said the people have to prove through their vote that they want democracy and supremacy of the parliament. He admitted that currently the PPP’s position in the Punjab province is weak. He said despite many allegations and scandals hatched by the opponents, the PPP leadership remained steadfast because they have the support of the people.—APP
