PPP ask NEPRA not to sell electricity in bulk

Karachi—Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Parliamentary leader in Senate of Pakistan Senator Saeed Ghani, Senator Dr Karim Khawaja and Senator Ajiz Dhamra have expressed their grave concern over NEPRA’s decision which allows the power producing private companies to sell electricity in bulk amount to the big buyers of electricity such as factories, companies and housing projects.
The power producing companies under this typical permission for sale of electricity in bulk amount would further deteriorate the ongoing power crisis. With this particular decision, residential and commercial consumers of electricity in Karachi, the economic hub of Pakistan, would embrace untoward wave of unrest and agitation.—NNI
