2 security men injured in Quetta blast
Two people were killed when terrorists opened fire on their vehicle in Lower Kurram Agency on Sunday, according to the political administration officials.
Political agent Muharrar Sarfaraz Hussain and his security guard Mumtaz Hussain were on a routine patrol when their vehicle was targeted in Tangi Khwar area of the agency near the Pak-Afghan border.
The official said it could not be immediately ascertained if the deceased were fired upon from across the border. However, he added, investigations were initiated to identify and arrest the suspects.
The incident occurred in village Owlay in lower Kurram Agency bordering Afghanistan.
The attackers fled from scene after the incident. The security personnel started search operation to nab the culprits.
Meanwhile, Two security personnel were injured in an explosion in Margat area of Quetta on Sunday.
An improvised explosive device planted on a roadside detonated when the security forces were en route to Quetta. The injured security forces officials Naik Haq Nawaz and Hawaldar Habibullha were shifted to a hospital.
The area was soon cordoned off by FC officials and an investigation is under way.—SABAH
