September Polio Campaign
Each polio worker at any level will be accountable for his/her duty. Zero tolerance for any lapse will be observed. Directorate of Health Services is responsible for holding Polio Eradication Campaigns within municipal limits of Islamabad including a belt of rural areas in its north western part.
CDA part of Islamabad is “Polio Free” since 2000 which is an achievement applauded by World Health Organization (WHO) and other United Nations (UN) formations. Mayor of Islamabad and Chairman, CDA Sheikh Anser Aziz expressed these views on the occasion of inauguration of “September Polio Campaign” to be held from 18th to 21st, 2017 has been at Directorate of Health Services.
On this occasion, Mayor of Islamabad and Chairman, CDA, Sheikh Anser was apprised that for effective management of polio campaign, Islamabad divided into 27 Zones. Area has 27 zonal Supervisors, 127 Sector Supervisors and total of 734 teams. Teams are further divided into 561 mobile Teams 52 Transit Points and 94 Fixed Centers.
The DHS in collaboration of Member Administration, CDA, Muhammad Yasir Peerzada has arranged Government accountable monitors will monitor real-time polio activities in 27 zones under administrative control of DHS, CDA / MCI. This strategy will improve quality of campaigns and will enhance activity to above 95%.
Mayor of Islamabad and Chairman, CDA, Sheikh Anser Aziz is stressing hard to improve quality of campaigns and has advised Member Administration, CDA, Muhammad Yasir Peerzada to put-forth all necessary resources at disposal of DHS to ensure highest quality of campaign.
