Police recover drugs, liquor, weapons

Police have arrested 20 lawbreakers including sound system act violators and two drunkards besides recovering 3690 grams charras, 37 liter wine, 54 bottles of liquor, weapons and fake currency notes worth Rs75,000 from their possession.
According to a police spokesman, Rattamral police held Yaseen for having 1060 grams charras. Pirwadhai police arrested Umar with 610 grams charras.
Naseerabad police recovered 2020 grams charras from the possession of a lady smuggler namely Parveen. Gungmandi police apprehended Muzamil for carrying four bottles of liquor. Gujar Khan police rounded up Abdul Rauf for possessing 50 bottles of liquor. Waris Khan police netted Saif Ur Rehman and seized 20 liter wine. Naseerabad police recovered seven liter wine from Munsab. Similarly, Morgah police rounded up Mumtaz with five liter wine. Murree police also apprehended Mujahid with five liter wine. Naseerabad police held Amaar Shabbir and Civil Line police nabbed Ali Hassan who were allegedly under the influence of alcohol. Other accused were sent behind the bars for having illegal weapons.
Meanwhile, Naseerabad police arrested Kafayat Khan and recovered fake currency notes worth Rs 75,000. New Town police booked Saeed Ur Rehman and Muhammad Ishaq who violated Sound System Act.—APP
